School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Aurora, Illinois

Take on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students in a welcoming school environment near Aurora, IL! This full-time position is designed for Speech-Language Pathologists with strong clinical skills who are passionate about fostering success in young learners, especially those receiving intensive support within a specialized STARS program. Your expertise will be key to making a real impact during regular school hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:45 am to 4:00 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Illinois SLP license and all required certifications
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Previous experience in a school setting preferred, especially with elementary-aged students
• Familiarity or interest in working with diverse and specialized student populations
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 40 elementary students
• Focus primarily on the STARS student population, implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Conduct assessments, write reports, and track student progress with attention to detail
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure students’ needs are met
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff planning sessions as needed
