LTC Staff Pharmacist - Chicora, Pennsylvania

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity is for a Licensed Pharmacist to support long-term care pharmacy operations in Chicora, PA. The position offers a 1-month assignment with potential for extension, with consideration for an 8-week contract as well. Work 40 hours per week within flexible pharmacy hours Monday through Sunday, supporting skilled nursing facilities, personal care locations, and hospice clients.

Key responsibilities include reviewing orders entered by technicians, verifying blister-packed medications, and checking both sterile and non-sterile compounds. The role also involves answering clinical inquiries from nursing staff, physicians, and hospice nurses, managing controlled substance inventories, and validating emergency medication boxes. Utilize QS1, Docutrack, and PCC operating systems to ensure accurate, compliant pharmacy operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
• Current Pennsylvania license as a Registered Pharmacist, in good standing
• Minimum 1 year experience as a pharmacist; prior long-term care pharmacy experience preferred
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting, standing, visual inspection of medications, fine motor handling, and lifting up to 30 pounds

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
• Saturday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
• Sunday, 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
