School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Lincolnshire, Illinois

ProCare Therapy
Lincolnshire, IL, US Full Time

Job Description

Job Description

Step into an opportunity to make a meaningful difference supporting students and educators as a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in assistive technology for a contract position starting August 12 through November 3. This dynamic role involves traveling between seven schools within a well-supported district, covering campuses in Buffalo Grove and Long Grove, IL. With a fixed schedule from 8am to 3:30pm, you’ll enjoy guaranteed 7.5-hour workdays, including a lunch break.

You’ll primarily collaborate with staff and conduct evaluations, providing your expertise in assistive technology solutions to ensure students receive the best possible learning support. Unlike traditional caseloads, your focus will be more consultative–guiding teams and facilitating assessments rather than ongoing therapy with specific students.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active Illinois SLP licensure
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship (CFY) status accepted
  • Experience in school-based settings, especially with assistive technology or augmentative/alternative communication (AAC)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Reliable transportation to travel daily between district schools

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a resource for staff regarding assistive technology, training, and best practices
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations
  • Recommend and help implement appropriate communication solutions for students
  • Document evaluation findings and recommendations
  • Engage in team meetings to support individualized education plans (IEPs)

Compensation for this contract position starts at $45 per hour, with increases depending on experience.

Embark on a rewarding journey supporting innovative learning environments. Advance your career in speech-language pathology while making a positive impact on staff and students. Apply now to bring your expertise in assistive technology to a collaborative and forward-thinking team!
