Join our team as a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Technologist and play a key role in supporting complex cardiac and vascular surgeries at a leading healthcare facility. The CVOR Tech assists surgeons during open-heart and vascular procedures by preparing surgical instruments, maintaining sterile fields, managing specialized cardiovascular equipment, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team throughout each procedure. This position is ideal for an experienced surgical technologist who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

Position Details

• Position: CVOR Surgical Technologist
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Schedule: Full-Time
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 Years Recent CVOR Experience
• Weekend Requirement: One Friday, Saturday, or Sunday shift required during the contract (does not have to be consecutive)

Shift Options

Monday – Friday

• 5:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Saturday & Sunday

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during cardiovascular and vascular procedures, including open-heart surgeries.
• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and instruments.
• Pass instruments, sutures, and supplies during procedures.
• Assist with setup and operation of specialized cardiovascular surgical equipment.
• Anticipate surgeon and team needs to ensure procedural efficiency.
• Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and facility protocols.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia teams to provide exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR experience required.
• Experience assisting with open-heart and vascular procedures preferred.
• Current CST certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular instrumentation, sterile technique, and surgical procedures.
