School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Granger, Indiana

Step into a dynamic educational setting supporting students in grades Preschool through 8th as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the upcoming school year. This rewarding opportunity involves serving one 5th-8th grade building with a caseload of 35 students, as well as several private school settings. The average caseload ranges from 40-45 students virtually, or 65-70 for those providing services in person. You’ll collaborate with educational teams, foster positive communication outcomes, and help students achieve their fullest potential.

Ideal candidates hold or are eligible for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and possess relevant school-based experience. SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant) candidates may be considered for in-person roles. Assignments begin August 18 and conclude June 7, with full-time hours set at 37.5 per week.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
• Active state licensure as an SLP; CCC preferred
• Prior experience working in school settings (Preschool–8th grade beneficial)
• Comfortable managing caseloads ranging from 35 to 70 students
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
• Experience with or understanding of AAC devices is a plus, though not prevalent in these settings
• Bilingual skills are valued, and accommodations can be made for candidates who offer these

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and provide direct therapy to students with speech, language, and communication needs
• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports
• Engage in team meetings and provide support to staff and families
