This role is designated for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC or CFY) adept at delivering quality care in an educational setting. Enjoy serving a caseload of approximately 30 high school students, focusing on those with low incidence profiles, in a collaborative environment where every day makes a difference.

This position runs from August 12 through October 13, offering your choice of an 8:00 am to 3:30 pm shift or a 7:30 am to 3:00 pm shift. Each day totals 7.5 hours, including a dedicated lunch break, giving you a consistent and predictable schedule.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Illinois SLP license and PEL certification
  • CCC or CFY designation for those ready for mentorship or independent practice
  • Background in high school settings and knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and assistive technology
  • Experience working with students requiring higher levels of support, particularly those with low-incidence disabilities
  • Strength in collaboration and individualized student care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy services to high school students, focusing on individualized education plan (IEP) goals
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary school teams and families
  • Serve as a resource on AT strategies and tools
  • Maintain clear, organized documentation as required by school policies
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise for holistic student support
