Retail Pharmacist in Delhi, NY

A retail pharmacy location in Oneonta, NY is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to oversee pharmacy operations. This contract role offers the possibility of permanent hire and requires strong leadership and clinical skills to ensure compliance, patient care, and business performance.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Closed Sundays

Key Responsibilities:

• Register and serve as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge with the state board of pharmacy.
• Ensure the pharmacy complies with all federal, state, regulatory, and company policies.
• Manage pharmacy operations including budgeting, payroll, scheduling, inventory, and third-party administration to meet financial goals.
• Lead and evaluate pharmacy support staff performance, provide guidance, training, and enforce compliance.
• Participate in community and store business development activities.
• Deliver patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management, and wellness programs.
• Counsel patients and medical providers on medications, dosages, interactions, side effects, and monitor therapeutic outcomes.
• Maintain continuous quality improvement initiatives to ensure patient safety.
• Keep the pharmacy workspace and facilities organized and compliant with legal and company standards.
• Complete required continuing education per state law.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active New York State Pharmacist License.
• Immunization Certification with comfort administering all vaccines is mandatory.
• Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager is preferred.
• Strong leadership and clinical knowledge in retail pharmacy settings.
