Step into a rewarding contract position supporting elementary students as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant educational setting near Hanceville, AL. This role centers on providing direct services to a caseload of approximately 50 students, fostering communication development and academic success throughout the 2026-2027 school year.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current and valid SLP state license in Alabama
  • Active CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) from ASHA
  • Relevant educator certification required
  • Prior experience with elementary school populations preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to assigned students onsite at the elementary school
  • Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations as needed, and develop individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain accurate records on student progress and document compliance with district and state requirements
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support each student’s unique needs
  • Participate in team meetings, IEP conferences, and professional development activities
  • Adapt therapy plans to meet the diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds of students

This is a Monday through Friday position, from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, covering the academic year from August 3, 2026, to May 28, 2027.
