Desired Skills & Experience:
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentials required.
- Experience in a school setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of pediatric and educational OT interventions.
- Ability to follow treatment plans designed by an Occupational Therapist.
- Effective communication skills for working with students, educators, and families.
- Adaptability to varying caseloads and student needs.
- Organized, dependable, and team-oriented approach.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students as directed by supervising OT.
- Implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and support student participation in school activities.
- Track and document student progress, adapting interventions in collaboration with the OT as needed.
- Assist in screenings and evaluations under OT supervision.
- Communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and families to ensure continuity of care.
- Contribute to the positive, inclusive school culture.
