Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Location: Sun Valley, NV
Job Type: Contract (8-week duration)
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Shift options: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM or 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM
- Rotating every other Saturday
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications in compliance with legal standards.
- Monitor patient medication usage to ensure compliance and identify overuse or other concerns.
- Maintain precise, confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
- Provide thorough consultation to patients regarding prescription and over-the-counter medications, including dosage, side effects, and potential drug interactions.
- Deliver patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management.
- Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
- Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions according to protocols.
- Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to resolve drug-related issues.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
- Valid Nevada Pharmacy license.
- Experience in long-term care pharmacy highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mail order pharmacy operations.
- Excellent communication and supervisory skills.
