Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students as a Licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) on the Southeast Texas Coast. This position is full-time, offering 35 hours per week, and begins on August 10, 2026, extending through September 25, 2026. You'll be instrumental in providing crucial support at the start of the school year as new team members complete observation hours necessary for licensure.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active Texas SLPA licensure, in good standing
  • Experience working in school settings preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively with SLPs, educators, and other staff
  • Prompt completion of Texas fingerprinting/background check (for those not currently in the system)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to be assigned to multiple schools as needed (assignment locations TBD)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy and communication support to students under supervision of certified SLPs
  • Assist with implementation of IEP goals and documentation as required
  • Cooperate with school teams, adapting to evolving caseload needs
  • Prepare therapy materials and support classroom language initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records and follow district procedures
