Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Pompano Beach, FL
Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Deliver compassionate and expert pharmaceutical care in a specialized environment serving the HIV/AIDS community. This per diem opportunity offers flexible scheduling with impactful work in a retail/specialty pharmacy setting, supporting patient health with respect and professionalism.
Location:
- Plantation (Ft. Lauderdale), FL area with additional per diem opportunities nearby
Schedule:
- Coverage needed Thurs 7/30, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
- Pharmacy hours: Monday – Thursday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm; Friday, 8:30 am – 12:30 pm (no weekends)
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense HIV/AIDS medications with a focus on patient safety and adherence
- Build trusting, nonjudgmental relationships with patients managing sensitive health conditions
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
- Demonstrate proactive pharmacy intuition by identifying and addressing pharmacy needs promptly
- Maintain high standards of patient communication and empathy throughout all interactions
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years retail or specialty experience in HIV/AIDS medication dispensing
- Proficiency with QS1 pharmacy software and technology-savvy
- Sensitivity to the needs of the HIV/AIDS patient population, with a respectful and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and dedicated work ethic
- Positive attitude and willingness to support team and patient needs proactively
