Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist serving students in the North Houston area. Full-time positions are available for both experienced SLPs and Clinical Fellows eager to grow in a supportive educational environment. This assignment spans the academic year from August to May, offering the chance to impact the lives of children and adolescents by supporting their communication and language development.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state licensure in Texas (or eligibility)
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- New graduates and Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply
- Experience in educational settings or with school-aged children is a plus
- Bilingual skills are highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy services to K-12 students
- Assess, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective strategies and track student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all district and state regulations
- Travel to a primary school site; itinerant opportunities may exist within the district
