Assignment Dates: August 25, 2026 – June 11, 2027 (2026–2027 School Year)
Schedule: Full-Time | 37.5 hours per week
Work Setting: Onsite Only

Position Overview

Redford Union School District is seeking two dedicated School Psychologists to join their team for the 2026–2027 school year. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative district that values psychologists as active members of the educational team—not just evaluators. The district encourages psychologists to engage in building-level initiatives, consultation, and student support beyond traditional testing responsibilities.

Position Details
Full-time, onsite position
Two openings available
Assigned to 1–2 school buildings
District consists of 5 total buildings, with services shared among 3 full-time School Psychologists
Buildings include 2 elementary schools and 1 combined middle/high school campus
Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success


Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment results
Develop written evaluation reports and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings
Collaborate with school teams to develop intervention strategies and support student achievement
Provide consultation regarding academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
Assist with school-wide mental health initiatives and problem-solving efforts
Participate in building-level support activities beyond testing responsibilities
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations


Qualifications
Michigan School Psychologist Certification required, or eligibility to obtain certification prior to the start of the assignment
Traveling School Psychologists are encouraged to apply. Candidates licensed in another state who are willing to obtain Michigan certification immediately upon accepting an offer will be considered.
Previous school-based experience preferred
Strong assessment, consultation, communication, and collaboration skills
