Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, or in the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, but strong new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to collaboration and teamwork
- Ability to develop and implement personalized therapy plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify speech, language, and hearing disorders in K-12 students
- Develop, implement, and continually modify individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education staff to support student goals
- Provide guidance and support to classroom teachers about communication strategies
- Document and maintain detailed clinical records as required by district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable input to student plans
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices
