School Speech Language Pathologist - Chowchilla, CA
Job Description
Step into a dynamic school-based Speech-Language Pathologist contract role focused on supporting students’ communication and learning growth in a full-time position for the upcoming academic year. The ideal candidate brings a passion for service, a commitment to excellence, and at least two years of experience in California school settings.
What we’re seeking:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current CA licensure (SLP-CCC or eligible CF)
- Minimum 2+ years of recent school-based SLP experience in California
- At least 1 year of experience with SEIS documentation
- Background in supervising SLPAs with facilitators is highly valued
- Capable of efficiently handling high caseloads and responding to referral demands
- Spanish-English bilingual abilities are a plus, though not required
- Solid organizational skills and adaptability in a fast-paced, supportive school environment
- Onsite availability only; telepractice is not an option
Role responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to a diverse student population
- Evaluate, screen, and document student progress following SEIS requirements
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and fellow specialists to develop and implement effective IEPs
- Offer guidance and oversight for SLPA support staff as needed
- Maintain accurate records, manage referrals, and ensure compliance with district and state guidelines
