ESL Teacher in Zion, IL

Step into an essential teaching opportunity supporting young learners as they develop key academic skills and language proficiency. This contract position focuses on General Education and ESL instruction, with full-time roles available at the Intermediate level for the upcoming school year. Assignments span core dual subject areas in 5th and 6th Grades (Math/Science, SS/ELA) as well as K-2 ESL teaching tailored to Grade-level needs, with a specific emphasis on PREK English Second Language responsibilities.

Role Details:

• Full-time, onsite commitment (remote work is not available)
• Multiple openings: 2 for 5th Grade Dual Math/Science, 1 for 5th Grade Dual SS/ELA, and 1 for 6th Grade Dual Math/Science
• Instructional period runs from August 17 through May 27, 2027

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field
• Active Illinois Professional Educator License with all relevant endorsements (please specify subject area and endorsements upon applying)
• Experience and understanding of curriculum design, lesson planning, and differentiated instruction
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
