Retail Pharmacy Manager in Delhi, NY

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Oversee pharmacy operations and lead a dedicated team in a retail setting as the Pharmacy Manager for a vibrant location in Oneonta, NY. This role demands a proactive leader who ensures regulatory compliance, drives financial performance, and fosters patient-centered care within a supportive community environment. Available as a contract opportunity with options for interim or permanent placement, this position offers a structured Monday through Saturday schedule with Sundays off.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the registered supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge with the state board of pharmacy.
• Maintain pharmacy compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations and policies.
• Manage pharmacy operations including budget oversight, payroll, scheduling, inventory control, and third-party administration to ensure financial viability.
• Lead business development initiatives within the store and local community.
• Supervise pharmacy support personnel, including performance management and training.
• Ensure all pharmacy associates complete required company training and adhere to regulatory standards.
• Provide patient counseling on medication usage, interactions, and side effects while monitoring therapeutic progress.
• Participate in immunization programs, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness initiatives.
• Uphold continuous quality improvement for patient safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment consistent with legal and corporate standards.
• Fulfill continuing education requirements mandated by state law.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid New York State Pharmacist License.
• Immunization Certification with confidence in administering all vaccines.
• Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager preferred.
• Willingness to consider relocation options available for permanent candidates.

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Sundays: Closed
