Job Description
Step into a pivotal role supporting elementary learners by delivering speech-language services for the upcoming school year. This contract opportunity runs from August 3rd, 2026 through May 24th, 2027, with a flexible schedule of 18-21 hours weekly across 3-5 days. Working between 2-3 sites, you'll manage a caseload of 30-50 students, primarily in grades 2 and 3, though assignments may include students of varying ages.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Indiana license for Speech-Language Pathology in the educational setting
- Demonstrated experience or skill in providing school-based SLP services
- Familiarity with assessment tools, intervention planning, and progress monitoring for school-aged children
- Knowledge of special education processes, including IEP development and compliance
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations for students identified with communication needs
- Act as Teacher of Record (TOR) or Teacher of Service (TOS) for your caseload
- Lead and actively participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with educational teams and families
- Maintain detailed records and timely documentation per school and state requirements
- Modify strategies and services to meet the diverse needs within your caseload
