You will play a crucial part in supporting special education programs by identifying, evaluating, and placing students with communication disorders. What you’ll bring to the role:
- Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology
- A valid Washington State ESA Certificate for speech/language pathologist
- Current Restraint Certification
- Clinical competence certificate or ability to obtain, or equivalent experience
- Prior experience with special education programs is highly valued
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct identification, eligibility determination, and placement for students with communication disorders in special education
- Collaborate with educators and families to ensure the best outcomes for each student
- Support the creation and ongoing evaluation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Utilize best practices and current methodologies for therapy and assessment
- Effectively document assessments and progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
