Job Description
Step into a rewarding Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity supporting students for the 2026/2027 school year near Minneapolis, MN! This full-time contract position offers 37.5 hours per week and begins by providing coverage at a local elementary school during a maternity leave. After Thanksgiving break, your expertise will support students in other school buildings as additional leaves arise, or you’ll help deliver compensatory services for students who missed sessions earlier in the year.
Your ability to adapt and collaborate will be essential as you work alongside a dedicated educational team to provide high-quality speech and language services. Qualifications:
- Active MN School Speech-Language Pathologist licensure (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience in school-based SLP settings strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to adjust quickly to changes in caseloads or locations as needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy in group and individual settings
- Conduct evaluations and write comprehensive reports
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide compensatory services as needed to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate notes and timely records in compliance with state and district requirements
