Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Mobile, Alabama

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity seeks an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead a specialty retail pharmacy team in a dermatology-focused setting. As the Interim PIC, you will oversee daily pharmacy operations and manage a team of two pharmacy technicians, ensuring high-quality service and efficient workflow. This contract-to-hire role offers the potential to transition into a permanent position if mutually beneficial.

Location: Mobile, AL
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Duration: 13 weeks with contract-to-hire potential

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage pharmacy operations within a specialty retail environment
• Supervise and support a team of two pharmacy technicians
• Oversee dispensing and preparation of medications, including nonsterile compounding of creams and gels (a plus)
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
• Collaborate closely with dermatology providers to meet patient needs
• Maintain accurate records and manage inventory using pharmacy systems

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-2 years experience as a Pharmacy Manager or PIC
• Dermatology pharmacy experience is beneficial but not mandatory
• Experience with nonsterile compounding preferred
• Familiarity with New Leaf software is helpful but not required
• Strong leadership and communication skills
