Per Diem Pharmacist - Bensalem, PA
Job Description
A retail pharmacy is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to provide professional pharmacy services on a per diem basis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented pharmacist with experience in retail settings and familiarity with the DRX computer system. The position involves working at a newly opened location with very low prescription volume, allowing for focused, quality patient care in a collaborative environment.
Location:
- Bensalem, PA
Schedule/Hours:
- Days: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Specific dates: July 27, 30, and 31
Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and provide patient counseling
- Review prescriptions for appropriate dosage, drug interactions, and contraindications
- Utilize the DRX computer system for prescription processing and record keeping
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure efficient and safe pharmacy operations
- Provide exceptional customer service in a retail pharmacy environment
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Valid Pennsylvania pharmacist license required
- Retail pharmacy experience necessary
- Proficiency with DRX computer system preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare providers
