Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. This contract-to-hire position offers potential for permanent placement based on performance and fit.
Location: Saraland, AL
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: 13+ weeks with potential to convert to permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Counsel patients on medication usage and potential side effects
- Communicate effectively with clinic staff regarding medication-related inquiries
- Maintain compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and policies
- Oversee pharmacy operations, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment
- Manage inventory and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals
Qualifications:
- Active and clear Alabama pharmacist license
- Minimum of 2 years management experience in a pharmacy setting
- Strong leadership and communication skills
