Make a meaningful impact as a Registered Behavior Technician, supporting elementary students near Arlington Heights, IL for the 2025/26 school year. In this contract position, you’ll work 1:1 with a student in a welcoming elementary building, helping to implement carefully tailored behavior intervention plans. Your professional expertise and positive presence will foster a nurturing environment, empowering students to achieve their best throughout the academic year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
  • Previous experience working 1:1 with children in a school or clinical setting is ideal
  • Understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques
  • Patience, compassion, and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and support teams
  • Organized, flexible, and reliable work ethic

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct 1:1 behavioral support and implement behavior intervention plans under supervision
  • Collect and record data on student progress using established tools and methods
  • Monitor student behavior and respond proactively to needs, using ABA strategies
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and staff to adjust strategies as needed
  • Support classroom routines and help maintain a positive, safe learning environment
  • Communicate progress and updates to supervisory staff and families, as appropriate

This full-time role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:15am – 3:45pm, allowing for work-life balance with weekends and evenings free. You’ll also benefit from being part of a dedicated school community in the North Chicago area, with regular breaks built into your day.
