Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Montgomery, TX
Job Description
A contract opportunity is available for a School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide services at an elementary school in the Montgomery, TX area for the upcoming academic year. This position offers the chance to make a tangible impact by supporting a diverse caseload of students through therapy, evaluations, and participation in ARD meetings.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active SLPA license for Texas
- Experience working in school or healthcare settings with students as an SLPA is highly desirable
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with ARD meetings and educational evaluations preferred
- Ability to function independently and collaboratively with supervising SLPs and educational staff
- Must be available for on-site work; virtual/remote work is not permitted
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to elementary-aged students under SLP supervision
- Assist with evaluations, progress monitoring, and report preparation
- Document therapy services and maintain accurate student records in compliance with district and licensure requirements
- Support ARD/IEP processes by attending meetings as needed and communicating student progress
- Work effectively within a caseload of approximately 60-80 students across a single elementary campus
This contract position runs from August 12, 2026 through May 21, 2027. Standard weekly hours total 37.5, following the school district calendar.
