Job Description
Make a difference every day by supporting students with developmental disabilities and autism through your expertise as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract basis. You’ll work in an educational setting focused on empowering students and helping them reach their communication goals in a nurturing, nonprofit environment near Pittsford, NY.
As an SLP, you'll collaborate with educators, families, and allied professionals to deliver evidence-based interventions and meaningful outcomes. Your commitment to individualized care will help foster progress and independence in every child you serve.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license in New York State
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Prior experience working with students in schools, particularly with developmental disabilities and autism
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adapt therapy strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Strong documentation and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with educational staff, therapists, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, sessions, and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Foster a supportive, engaging, and inclusive learning atmosphere
