Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Addison, IL
Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract role providing speech-language pathology services to elementary students, just outside of Addison, IL. This full-time position will support a short-term need, covering a maternity leave for the first 12 weeks of the school year starting in August. You'll offer compassionate, evidence-based care to young learners, making a meaningful impact during an essential stage in their development.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license for the state
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) consideration
- Prior experience in school, pediatric, or healthcare settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Commitment to fostering growth and success for elementary-aged students
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language intervention to a diverse elementary caseload
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and re-evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress
- Support students’ communication needs within the classroom setting
- Contribute to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams as needed
