This fulfilling opportunity places you in a K-12 setting, collaborating with students, educators, and families to promote student well-being and growth. You’ll play a key role in helping students overcome academic, emotional, and social challenges throughout the school year.

This position is open to both certified school counselors and school-certified social workers. It is a full-time contract role for the academic year, running from August 12, 2026, through May 28, 2027. Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule, working 35 hours per week from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and contributing to a vibrant, diverse caseload (to be determined upon placement).

Qualifications:

  • Valid and active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with relevant certification (School Counselor or Social Worker).
  • Experience in school-based counseling or social work preferred.
  • Ability to provide comprehensive support for K-12 students.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with students.
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies for academic, behavioral, and social-emotional concerns.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families.
  • Lead and support preventative programs promoting student wellness and success.
  • Maintain documentation and participate in IEP/504 meetings as needed.
