Job Description
Bring your expertise and passion for making a difference to K-12 students as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in northwestern Illinois! This contract opportunity offers flexibility, as both full-time and part-time schedules are considered, serving various districts in an itinerant capacity—including areas such as Algonquin, Carpentersville, Hampshire, Dixon, Kirkland, Maple Park, and St. Charles. Starting August 3, 2026, and running through May 21, 2027, this position gives you the chance to collaborate with schools to support students’ growth and success.
Qualifications:
- Must hold active national Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- IDFPR Behavior Analyst Certification required
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-12) is valuable
- Open to both experienced professionals and those newer to schools, provided both certifications are current
- PEL (Professional Educator License) not required
- Willingness to travel to multiple schools within designated regions
- Not a remote or virtual role; on-site presence is required
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop evidence-based intervention plans for individual students
- Collaborate with teachers, school psychologists, and related service providers to support implementation of behavioral interventions
- Provide direct and consultative services to school staff and families
- Monitor and document student progress, revising plans as needed
- Conduct staff training on behavioral strategies and best practices
