Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Detroit, MI

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a contract-based Speech-Language Pathologist working with a diverse caseload ranging from preschoolers to high schoolers. Located near Detroit, MI, this full-time, onsite role runs the duration of the school year beginning September 1st, offering flexibility and an opportunity to work with a team dedicated to helping children communicate and succeed academically.

Your focus will primarily be elementary-aged students, supporting those in cross-categorical classrooms and general education settings with IEPs, as well as providing essential services in two ACT 18 ASD elementary classrooms. This is an urgent need and interviews will be conducted promptly.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active State SLP License (or eligibility)
• CCC-SLP certification or Clinical Fellowship Year candidates welcome
• Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
• Strong familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
• Comfort working with students on the autism spectrum and in special education
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans for students
• Deliver direct and consultative services to students across educational environments
• Collaborate closely with general and special education staff, as well as families
• Maintain accurate records and contribute effectively to IEP meetings
• Support students’ progress in communication, social skills, and overall academic engagement
