Exciting opportunity for a contract Speech-Language Pathologist to support students on a high school campus from September 8 through December 18. Cover a leave of absence in a collaborative setting near Waukegan, IL, with another full-time SLP available for consultation and teamwork. This full-time assignment features a manageable high school caseload in a supportive environment, ideal for experienced therapists or those completing their Clinical Fellowship Year.

What you’ll bring:

  • Active SLP license and eligibility for work in Illinois
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; CFY candidates also considered
  • Previous experience in school, pediatric, or healthcare SLP settings
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Experience with high school caseloads is a plus

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic services and interventions to a caseload of approximately 50 high school students (4 are consult only)
  • Complete 7 evaluations during the leave period, in accordance with school timelines and requirements
  • Work collaboratively with the on-site SLP for planning, troubleshooting, and professional support
  • Develop and implement IEP goals, monitor student progress, and maintain thorough documentation
  • Communicate with teachers, administrators, and parents/guardians regarding student needs
