For the 2026–2027 academic year, two school psychologist opportunities are available on a full-time contract basis with a focus on both student assessment and broader mental health initiatives.
You'll play a dynamic part in shaping interventions, assessing students, and developing support plans that enhance the educational experience. Beyond traditional testing, these positions offer the unique chance to engage in diverse responsibilities within 1–2 buildings, working in partnership with a dedicated team across a district of five schools.
Desired Qualifications:
- Possess or be willing to secure Michigan School Psychologist Certification before starting (support provided for out-of-state travelers).
- Previous professional experience as a school psychologist is preferred.
- Strong background in assessment, intervention, and counseling within educational settings.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with students, educators, and families.
- A commitment to fostering a positive school climate and being flexible to support various building needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and interpret results to inform IEPs and educational interventions.
- Develop and help implement individualized plans for students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral success.
- Collaborate closely with staff and parents to address student challenges and refer for additional help when needed.
- Participate in intervention and problem-solving teams, contributing to overall school mental health strategies.
- Support preventative programs and crisis intervention as required, expanding your impact beyond traditional testing duties.
