Instructional Aide - Elk River, MN

Take on a rewarding role supporting students as a highly-qualified Middle School Paraprofessional. Multiple contract openings are available across several schools, with 32.5-hour workweeks (Monday through Friday) beginning at the end of August and continuing for approximately three months before potential direct hire conversion.

You’ll work closely with students and staff in a vibrant, collaborative educational environment. Specific campus assignments will be tailored based on your preferences and the caseload needs at schools such as Coon Rapids, Jackson, Northdale, Oak View, or Roosevelt Middle Schools. Please ensure you identify your preferred site, as this is required for consideration.

Qualifications:

• Must be Highly Qualified by one of the following:
  • Passing score on the MN Paraprofessional or Para Educator Exam (documentation required)
  • At least 60 college credits (official college transcript required)
• Prior experience as a school paraprofessional is highly desirable
• Willingness to support all aspects of student care, including toileting assistance when necessary
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate within diverse teams

Responsibilities:

• Assist educators in classrooms and provide academic, social, and behavioral support to students
• Participate in daily activities, adapting to the varying needs of students
• Foster an inclusive and respectful environment for learners of all backgrounds
