Job Description

Contract Personnel is recruiting for a privately owned manufacturer and developer of plastic packaging for a variety of industries, with many well-known brands, with a reputation for quality, service, and innovation.

The Role:

\n

Working in a small team to ensure that quality and cleanliness of product are maintained to an excellent standard, while responsible for packing, labelling and recording product as necessary.

\n

This will include:

\n
    \n
  • Documenting and recording product details.
  • \n
  • Always ensuring quality of product.
  • \n
  • Product inspection.
  • \n
  • Maintaining safety and hygiene standards are met.
  • \n
  • Ensuring operating procedures are always fully complied with
  • \n
  • Respond to machine alarms.
  • \n
  • Conduct colour changes to specific customer standards & complete accurate documentation.
  • \n
  • Machine and auxiliary clean downs.
  • \n
  • Advance to higher grades and take on respective additional responsibilities.
  • \n
  • Assisting with training when level reached.
  • \n
  • Full training will be provided
  • \n

The Candidate:

For this role, you will ideally need to possess the following skills:

  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • \n
  • Excellent timekeeping.
  • \n
  • Good attention to detail.
  • \n
  • Clear and accurate record keeping.
  • \n
  • Ability to uphold Health and Safety practices.
  • \n

Hours:

\n
    \n
  • 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
  • \n
  • Monday to Friday
  • \n
  • 3-shift rotating pattern, (06:00am to 14:00pm, 22:00pm to 06:00am and 14:00pm to 22:00pm (1/2-hour unpaid break per shift)
  • \n
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required depending on the needs of the company.

Pay:

\n
    \n
  • £12.71 per hour (Day rate) and £13.51 (Night rate).
  • \n
  • Rates will increase with grade progression
  • \n
\n
