Are you an experienced recruiter or HR Assistant looking for a rewarding role within the NHS? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy managing complex recruitment processes, and have the confidence to work with busy senior professionals?

\n

We are looking for a Medical Workforce Recruitment Advisor to join our supportive and highly experienced Medical Workforce Team. This is a specialist recruitment role with ownership of the end-to-end recruitment process for medical staff, from Foundation Year Doctors through to Consultants.

\n

Working as part of a collaborative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring doctors can join the Trust efficiently and compliantly, helping support the delivery of exceptional patient care across our hospitals.

\n

About the Role

\n

This is far more than a traditional recruitment position. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle for medical staff, coordinating recruitment campaigns, onboarding successful candidates, completing compliance checks and supporting complex medical rotations.

\n

A key part of the role involves managing recruitment through the TRAC recruitment system, coordinating interviews, processing offers, arranging sponsorships and ensuring all employment checks are completed in line with NHS and Home Office requirements.

\n

You will work closely with Clinical Leads, Medical Recruitment Leads, NHS England and other stakeholders to ensure vacancies are filled efficiently and medical staffing levels are maintained.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for all grades of medical staff, from Foundation Doctors to Consultants.
  • \n
  • Coordinate recruitment campaigns through the TRAC system, including advert management, interview scheduling and applicant tracking.
  • \n
  • Support and administer interview panels and recruitment activities.
  • \n
  • Complete all pre-employment checks including references, right to work verification, occupational health and compliance checks.
  • \n
  • Issue offers of employment and process contracts and appointment documentation.
  • \n
  • Raise and administer Certificates of Sponsorship for overseas applicants.
  • \n
  • Liaise with NHS England and other external partners regarding nationally and regionally recruited medical posts.
  • \n
  • Coordinate onboarding and induction activity for large-scale doctor rotations.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate records on ESR and recruitment systems.
  • \n
  • Provide advice and guidance on recruitment processes, NHS policies and medical workforce procedures.
  • \n
  • Support vacancy management and ad-hoc locum requirements where required.
  • \n
\n

About You

\n

We are keen to hear from candidates who have experience in recruitment, HR assistant or workforce coordination. NHS experience is highly desirable but not essential for someone who can demonstrate strong recruitment knowledge and excellent organisational skills.

\n

You will have:

\n
    \n
  • Previous recruitment or HR experience.
  • \n
  • Experience managing multiple vacancies and competing priorities.
  • \n
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • \n
  • Confidence communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior clinicians and consultants.
  • \n
  • The ability to work independently and solve problems proactively.
