Quality Control Inspector

Location: Rochford, Essex

Salary: £16.00–£20.00 per hour (depending on experience)

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our engineering team in Rochford. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that precision-engineered components meet customer specifications and quality standards through accurate inspection and measurement.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong quality background who is confident using a range of inspection equipment, including CMMs, shadowgraphs, and Metrios vision systems.

• Carry out first-off, in-process, and final inspections of precision-engineered components.
\n
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.
\n
• Programme and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
\n
• Programme and operate shadowgraph and Metrios vision inspection systems.
\n
• Use a variety of manual measuring equipment, including micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
\n
• Produce accurate inspection reports and maintain quality documentation.
\n
• Identify and report non-conforming products and support corrective actions.
\n
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
\n
• Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and customer requirements.
\n

• Previous experience as a Quality Inspector within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
\n
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances.
\n
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
\n
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection.
\n
• Good communication and record-keeping skills.
\n

• Experience programming CMMs.
\n
• Experience programming and operating shadowgraph inspection equipment.
\n
• Experience programming and operating Metrios vision measuring systems.
\n
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
\n
• Experience inspecting CNC machined components.
\n
