Senior Practice Accountant

Up to £50,000 DOE | Permanent | Remote (with occasional visits to Wigan)

We're working with a modern, growing accountancy practice that's invested in technology, flexibility and its people. You'll manage your own client portfolio, work with cloud-based systems, and be part of a supportive team, all without the daily commute.

• Managing your own portfolio of SME clients
\n
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
\n
• Completing VAT returns and corporation tax computations
\n
• Supporting clients with Xero, QuickBooks and cloud accounting
\n
• Building long-term client relationships and liaising with HMRC
\n
• Reviewing work and mentoring junior team members
\n
• Identifying ways to improve client service and add value
\n

You'll already have experience working in an accountancy practice and be confident managing client relationships.

Ideally you'll have:

• ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience
\n
• Practice experience managing a client portfolio
\n
• Strong knowledge of VAT and corporation tax
\n
• Experience with Xero, QuickBooks or similar cloud software
\n
• A proactive, organised and client-focused approach
\n
• Excellent communication skills
\n
