\nThe Role
\nAs Cost Accountant, you'll take ownership of product and inventory costing while providing valuable financial insight to support business performance. Your responsibilities will include:

- Establishing and maintaining standard costs for products and services \n
- Updating standard costs to reflect changes in material, labour and overhead costs \n
- Analysing material and labour usage to identify trends and efficiencies \n
- Recommending cost-saving initiatives and process improvements \n
- Reviewing labour rates, depreciation and overhead allocations \n
- Taking ownership of inventory costing and margin reporting \n
- Producing cost centre budgets and forecasts \n
- Preparing accurate product costing and profitability analysis \n
- Investigating and reporting on cost variances \n
- Supporting continuous improvement across finance processes \n
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business \n
- Assisting with month-end and quarter-end close activities \n
- Preparing accurate month-end and quarter-end management reports \n
About You
\nWe're looking for a proactive and analytical finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

- A finance or accountancy qualification (Part Qualified or AAT) \n
- Previous experience in a similar Cost Accounting role \n
- Essential manufacturing and product costing experience \n
- Proven experience processing high volumes of financial data and invoices \n
- Strong Excel skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office \n
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal \n
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines \n
- A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail \n
- Experience working collaboratively within a small finance team and liaising with multiple departments \n
