Location: Highbury East, London, N5 1JGPay Rate: £21.05 PAYE or £26.73 Umbrella per hourJob Type: Temporary till end of November 2026 with possible extensionWorking Pattern: Full-time, office and community-based role (no home working)

About the Role

\n

We are currently recruiting for a Neighbourhood Response Officer to provide a high-quality housing management service within a busy neighbourhood team. This role will involve carrying out the full range of tenancy management duties, supporting residents, and ensuring neighbourhoods are safe, sustainable, and well-managed.

\n

This is a fully office and field-based position, with time split between the office and resident visits. There is no home working available with this assignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct all tenancy service duties expected of a Housing Officer.
  • \n
  • Manage a designated patch and act as a key point of contact for residents.
  • \n
  • Carry out tenancy visits, including new tenancy, routine, and tenancy sustainment visits.
  • \n
  • Investigate and resolve tenancy breaches, anti-social behaviour, and neighbourhood issues.
  • \n
  • Support residents to sustain their tenancies and access appropriate services.
  • \n
  • Ensure estates and neighbourhoods are maintained to a high standard through regular inspections.
  • \n
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to resolve resident concerns.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate case records and manage workloads through the organisation's CRM system.
  • \n
  • Respond to customer enquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • \n
  • Attend resident meetings and undertake community engagement activities as required.
  • \n

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a Housing Officer, Neighbourhood Officer, Tenancy Officer, or similar housing management role.
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of tenancy management and housing services.
  • \n
  • Experience managing caseloads and working to performance targets.
  • \n
  • Confident carrying out home visits and managing sensitive customer situations.
  • \n
  • Proficient in the use of IT systems, with the ability to effectively manage tasks through a CRM platform.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • \n
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
  • \n
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment.
