An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Team Leader to join a well-established and growing company. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong end-to-end payroll experience who enjoys leading a team, improving processes and ensuring the delivery of an accurate, compliant and efficient payroll service.

Working within a collaborative finance and HR function, you will take responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day running of the payroll department, supporting a small team while ensuring multiple payrolls are processed accurately and on time. You'll provide expert payroll guidance, resolving complex queries and identifying opportunities to improve existing processes. What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience leading or supervising a payroll team, with the ability to motivate colleagues, allocate workloads effectively and ensure payroll deadlines are consistently achieved.

  • A positive and supportive leadership style, with a passion for coaching others, sharing knowledge and contributing to a collaborative team culture.

  • A strong understanding of UK payroll legislation, including PAYE, National Insurance, pensions, statutory payments and HMRC requirements, with the confidence to apply this knowledge when resolving complex payroll queries.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate payroll discrepancies.
  • \n
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple payroll cycles, prioritise competing deadlines and maintain exceptional levels of accuracy within a fast-paced environment.
