Credit Control Team Leader

My client, a global business with headquarters in Cambridge, is looking for an experienced Credit Control Team Leader to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity to lead a high-performing Accounts Receivable/Credit Control team within a fast-paced international business. You'll be responsible for driving operational excellence, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.

As Credit Control Team Leader, you will:

• Lead, motivate and develop a small Credit Control/Accounts Receivable team, setting clear objectives and driving performance
\n
• Ensure a high standard of service delivery through effective workload planning and team management
\n
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, resolving issues and identifying opportunities for service improvements
\n
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, helping to streamline processes and embed best practice
\n
• Monitor team KPIs, ensuring service levels are consistently achieved or exceeded
\n
• Maintain robust financial controls and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
\n
• Ensure the integrity of financial records, identifying and escalating any issues where required
\n
• Oversee key Accounts Receivable activities
\n

We're looking for someone who has:

\n
• A strong and capable people manager – with previous experience leading a Credit Control or Accounts Receivable team
\n
• Strong knowledge of finance systems and Accounts Receivable processes
\n
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
\n
• A hands-on leadership style with the ability to work strategically and operationally
\n
• A solid understanding of financial controls, compliance and operational risk
\n
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience using ERP/accounting systems (Oracle experience is advantageous)
