Based in Earl’s Court (SW5 9SJ), we are an independent specialist school dedicated exclusively to supporting pupils diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). Our school offers a highly structured, low-arousal, and nurturing environment where learners across all age groups receive individualized support to develop key communication, social interaction, and independent living skills alongside their academic growth.

We are looking for compassionate, proactive, and resilient SEN Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will work closely with class teachers, Speech & Language Therapists, and Occupational Therapists to deliver tailored learning plans and create a safe, supportive space for pupils with unique learning profiles.

• Autism & Associated Needs: Deliver 1-to-1 and small-group support to children and young people with a primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

• Communication & Visual Support: Implement augmentative and alternative communication strategies (such as PECS, TEACCH principles, visual schedules, and Makaton) to aid non-verbal and pre-verbal learners.

• Sensory Processing & Emotional Regulation: Support pupils with sensory integration differences, helping them manage sensory input, navigate anxiety, and maintain focus using tailored sensory breaks and tools.

• Positive Behavior Support: Utilize proactive, compassionate strategies to guide pupils through periods of dysregulation, fostering a safe and encouraging classroom environment.

• Life Skills & Personal Care: Assist pupils with daily routines, social development, mobility, and personal care needs where required.

• Experience or Passion: Previous experience working with children or young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) or Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable. We also welcome passionate individuals with a strong willingness to learn specialist techniques.

• Core Qualities: Deep empathy, extreme patience, resilience, and the ability to stay calm and adaptable under pressure.

• Understanding of Needs: A good intuitive grasp of non-verbal cues, sensory triggers, and positive behavior strategies.

• Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work seamlessly with teachers, therapists, and families to achieve the best outcomes for every pupil.
