Support Worker - Children's Contracts Kent £27,264 - £33,384 per annum Full-time | Permanent (40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm)
\nAbout the Role
\nWe are currently recruiting for Support Workers to join a dedicated and growing Children's Contracts team across Kent.
\n\nThis is a rewarding opportunity to support young people leaving care, including unaccompanied asylum-seeking young people, as they transition into independent living. You will play a vital role in empowering individuals to build confidence, develop life skills, and achieve positive long-term outcomes.
\n\nWorking as part of a supportive and collaborative team, you will manage your own caseload and deliver high-quality, person-centred support across a diverse geographic area.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Manage a caseload of young people within supported accommodation \n
- Provide practical and emotional support to those living independently \n
- Support the development of essential life skills such as budgeting, education, and daily living \n
- Work in line with individual pathway plans, ensuring progress and regular updates \n
- Liaise with social workers, local authorities, and external stakeholders \n
- Promote safeguarding and ensure all concerns are appropriately reported \n
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures \n
- Conduct property visits to ensure health & safety and accommodation standards are met \n
- Support young people during move-ins, including inductions and settling into accommodation \n
- Participate in service development, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives \n
- Provide on-call support where required \n
About You
\nWe are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and making a meaningful difference.
\n\nEssential:
\n- \n
- Previous experience working with young people within a care or support setting \n
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle \n
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills \n
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently \n
- Willingness to travel regularly across a wide geographic area \n
Desirable:
\n- \n
- NVQ Level 3 in Children's Social Care (or willingness to work towards) \n
- Knowledge of the Children's Act and relevant social care legislation \n
