Personal Injury Case Handler

Our client is looking for an experienced Personal Injury Case Handler to join their claimant injury department. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload involving a variety of injury claims, including those involving vulnerable road users and minor to moderate head injury claims. This role offers a combination of office and home working, with a requirement to work from the Bristol office two days a week.

Day-to-day of the role:

    \n
  • Efficiently and effectively run your own caseload of personal injury claims.
  • \n
  • Pursue claims up to a value of £25,000.00 through and outside of the MOJ Portal, including pre and post litigation stages, making full use of the case management system.
  • \n
  • Comply fully with agreed service standards.
  • \n
  • Communicate with clients, insurers, expert witnesses, and solicitors.
  • \n
  • Attend and participate in weekly risk assessment meetings.
  • \n
  • Manage client expectations and effectively deal with any complaints that arise in line with company policy.
  • \n
  • Perform any other duties as required.
  • \n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

\n
    \n
  • Experience of handling a claimant injury caseload.
  • \n
  • Working knowledge of MOJ Portal processes.
  • \n
  • Experience of pursuing claims allocated to the Fast Track.
  • \n
  • Experience of litigation including the issue of proceedings, complying with Court Directions through to Trial.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of a Case Management System.
  • \n
  • Ability to work to strict Service Level Agreements.
  • \n
  • Technical proficiency in claims handling including litigation.
  • \n
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • \n
  • Ability to analyse and research legal issues.
  • \n
  • Ability to organise and prioritise work.
  • \n
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • \n
  • Law degree, CILEx or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • \n
