- Lead and oversee all site operations during your shift. \n
- Ensure production and operational targets are achieved safely and efficiently. \n
- Allocate resources and manage workforce deployment to maximise productivity. \n
- Monitor site KPIs and implement corrective actions where required. \n
- Ensure compliance with operating procedures, site standards and regulatory requirements. \n
- Act as the primary escalation point for operational issues. \n
- Champion a safety-first culture across the site. \n
- Ensure compliance with COMAH regulations and company procedures. \n
- Act as the Site Incident Controller (SIC) during emergency situations. \n
- Support risk assessments and permit-to-work activities. \n
- Drive proactive hazard identification and risk management. \n
- Lead, motivate and develop shift teams to achieve high performance. \n
- Conduct shift briefings and communicate operational priorities. \n
- Support training, competency development and succession planning. \n
- Manage attendance, conduct and performance matters where required. \n
- Build a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement. \n
- Ensure products consistently meet required specifications. \n
- Maintain accurate operational records, logs and compliance documentation. \n
- Investigate quality issues and implement effective corrective actions. \n
- Support internal and external audits as required. \n
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, reliability and productivity. \n
- Investigate operational issues and implement sustainable solutions. \n
- Support Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives. \n
- Analyse shift performance data and recommend improvements. \n
- Liaise closely with engineering, maintenance and technical teams. \n
- Coordinate maintenance activities to minimise downtime. \n
- Deliver detailed and effective shift handovers. \n
- Communicate site performance and operational updates to senior management. \n
Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:
\n- \n
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a supervisory, shift leadership or operations management position. \n
- Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements within manufacturing environments. \n
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills. \n
- Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced operational setting. \n
- Strong understanding of manufacturing best practices and materials management systems. \n
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities. \n
- \n
- Experience working within a COMAH-regulated environment. \n
- Knowledge of batch and continuous chemical processing. \n
- Formal leadership or management qualifications. \n
- Continuous Improvement experience (Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent). \n

- Average 34.3 hours per week \n
