Pay: £14.00 - £15.00 per hour

Responsive Personnel are looking for an Experienced Powder Coater to join their dynamic and growing team.

If you have proven hands-on powder coating experience, a keen eye for quality finishes, and

the ability to independently identify and resolve process issues, we would love to hear from

you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure metal surfaces are adequately prepared for coating, including cleaning, degreasing, sandblasting, and masking as required.

• Apply powder coatings using electrostatic spray equipment, ensuring even coverage and correct film thickness.

• Operate and monitor curing ovens, adjusting time and temperature settings to specification.

• Inspect finished parts for defects such as runs, orange peel, fish-eyes, or inconsistent coverage, and rework as needed.

• Help lead line staff on correct techniques, safety procedures, and quality standards.

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on spray guns, booths, and curing ovens.

• Maintain accurate production records, including batch numbers, coating specifications, and quality checks.

• Manage powder inventory, minimising waste and ensuring correct storage of materials.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and handling of chemicals.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce rework rates.

• Working closely with the scheduling lead and quality lead to ensure that jobs are completed on time and to the required quality standards.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in powder coating.

• Strong knowledge of powder coating processes, materials, and equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Excellent communication, and organizational skills.

• Commitment to Quality and health and safety standards.

• Forklift license is a plus.
