Temporary Marine Claims Assistant

Pavilion are partnered with a bespoke marine insurance provider established for over 20 years and are seeking a Marine Claims Assistant to join their collaborative business. Based in the heart of the city, they are hiring in their Yacht team for an Assistant to support on a variety of international claims, with a lot of US work, on an anticipated 8-10 week temporary basis.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Claims Handler and be given plenty of administrative duties within the Yacht Claims Team, as well as internal hands-on training.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Reviewing historic claims files, email correspondence, and supporting documentation across many closed claims
\n
• Locating, identifying, and organising key financial documents-including invoices, claims payments, settlement releases, surveyor fees, legal invoices, and other claim-related costs- and organising them into folders
\n
• Verifying information held within claims records and identifying any missing, incomplete, or inconsistent data
\n
• Updating and correcting claim records where necessary to ensure information is accurate and complete
\n
• Prepare basic summaries and maintain organised electronic files to support ongoing reviews
\n
• Investigating legacy files where documentation is not readily available, requiring the individual to piece together information from emails, attachments, payment records, and other sources
\n
• Assisting with document management and general administrative support relating to claims and legal files
\n
