Salary: Circa £16.50 per hour + shift allowance

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Working Hours: 5pm- 2am, Mon-Fri

About the Role:

\n

We are seeking a confident and reliable Packing Operative / Packing Machine Operator to join our evening shift team at our Rice Mill in Fulbourn.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with packing line experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and efficiency.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Work as part of a six-person evening shift packing team operating packing lines
  • \n
  • Monitor packing equipment and carry out basic fault finding and minor repairs
  • \n
  • Complete production records and quality control documentation accurately
  • \n
  • Maintain food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards at all times
  • \n
  • Support general production activities to ensure the site operates efficiently and compliantly
  • \n
  • Undertake additional duties as required to support the business
  • \n

About you:

Essential

    \n
  • Experience working on packing or production lines
  • \n
  • Basic IT and computer skills
  • \n
  • Good attention to detail and record-keeping abilities
  • \n
  • Commitment to food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
  • \n
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • \n
\n

Desirable

\n
    \n
  • Experience within the food manufacturing industry
  • \n
  • Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) licence
  • \n
  • Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2 qualification
  • \n
\n
