Sharp Consultancy are recruiting this great opportunity for a finance professional with strong analytical and organisational skills who enjoys working collaboratively across a business.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join a highly regarded finance function in Leeds on a fixed-term basis until December 2026.

\n

Working as part of the Finance team, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of intercompany reporting, recharges and cost allocations. This position offers exposure to a wide range of stakeholders and provides the opportunity to contribute to a strong financial control environment while developing valuable commercial and technical finance experience.

\n

This role would suit someone who is confident working with financial data, enjoys problem-solving and has excellent attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

    \n
  • Preparing and maintaining the intragroup balance matrix at month-end
  • \n
  • Assisting with P&L cost allocations across actuals, budgets and forecasts
  • \n
  • Supporting invoicing and payment processes in collaboration with the treasury team
  • \n
  • Managing ad hoc sales invoicing and credit control activities
  • \n
  • Identifying, investigating and resolving financial variances
  • \n
  • Supporting the maintenance of a robust and effective financial control environment
  • \n
  • Working collaboratively with stakeholders across the wider business
  • \n

About You

  • Previous experience working within a finance, accounts or financial controls environment
  • \n
  • Confidence working with financial information and large volumes of data
  • \n
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain information clearly to different stakeholders
  • \n
  • The ability to manage and prioritise workloads effectively while working independently
  • \n
  • A proactive approach to identifying process improvements and escalating issues when required
  • \n
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • \n
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • \n
  • The ability to build effective relationships across multiple teams
  • \n
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
  • \n
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • \n
